Seasons may change - Pixels and Paper November DT reveal (387/365)

Okay I am so excited to share with you something I have been keeping secret for a couple of weeks now. . .I'm part of the 2016 Pixels and Paper Design Team!!!! I know it's not 2016 but unfortunately one of their team members had to step down early because of personal commitments and I was asked if I could come on early and since I love them so much I jumped at the chance!!!! So here without any further news here is my very first Pixels and Paper Design team project:

I love how the vision in my head for this layout turned out exactly how I invisioned. Here is this month's inspiration:

I was inpired by the tree art on the wall with the changing seasons and the blank space in the rest of the living room. This piece got me thinking to my son and how much he changes in a year and all the different seasonal activities we do (and since I take a bazillion photos a year it was super easy to pick photos from the different seasons).

To create the background I used gelatos and coloured each section, then misted them with water and using a paintbrush blended them together. Then I waited for it to dry (about 4-6 hours later) I added the sequins to mimic the dots that is in the inspiration photo. I then found this wonderful quote on pinterest (have no idea who is the author of the quote just knew it was perfect for this layout) so i put it into my silhouette and used my sketch pens in glitter black to write the quote.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me to the Pixel and Paper team and I am so honoured to be joining this group of extremely talented ladies. Hope you can play along this month for a chance to win a fabulous prize, you have until November 30th to link your take on this challenge:

got it - ScrapMuch?! DT October 23 (386/365)

Good morning everyone!!! How are you doing?? Anyone else excited it's the weekend?? It's Friday and that means it's ScrapMuch?! sketchy Friday DT reveal, this post is bittersweet for me as it will be my last proect as part of ScrapMuch?! design team. I have taken part in this wonderful team for the last year, I have met some wonderful people and have increased my scrapping ability and am so grateful to be part of this team. I want to welcome the new girls who will be joining the team and hope they have as much fun as I have.

Now for my layout, a couple of weeks ago, I went to Cabelas for my first visit and it just so happened that it was woman's day so there was a bunch of activities around the store so of  course I participated. This was the first "station" I took part in where we got to dress up in Cabelas gear and decide what we were going to hunt so I decided to grab the cross bow and moose, they then printed the photo out for me.

I used my silhouette sketch pen to draw the targets and my silhouette to cut he trees. I then inked the trees with tim holtz distress ink (frayed burlap). The papers are dear lizzy from the serendipity collection as well as recollection. The doily I've had in my stash forever, and I misted it with lindy's stamp gang starburst. The flowers are bo bunny and the leaves are prima. Alphas are doodlebug design. Washi is from the dollar store and the paint splatters are tim holtz distress paint (spun sugar, and bronze). I love how this layout turned out because its naturey and pretty all at he same time.

Here is the sketch inspiration:

You have until the 28th of October to link up your project to: for your chance to win a fabulous prize!! Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments :)

Good day everyone!!! It is Thursday October 15th and that means another reveal at Let's Scrap!! This sketch has been one of my favorite sketches in a while because it was so fun so I just had to do something fun with it so I scraped pictures of my son decorating his Thomas gingerbread train last Christmas but I didn't make it a typical Christmas colours and instea went with fun pastels:

Here is today's sketch:

Here are a couple of closeups:

For the corner flourish, i found it a bit too bright so I inked it with Tim Holtz distress pad (frayed burlap):

This is - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday October 9th DT reveal (363/365)

good morning everyone!!! who's excited for the long-weekend??!!! I say long weekend because this weekend in Canada is Thanksgiving and I am so ready to stuff my face full of turkey!!! My mom has been up for a week and my dad comes tomorrow for a week so I will have both my parents here so i'm super excited about that, although considering I am working I don't see them as often as I would like but a couple hours at the end of the day is better than nothing ;)

Now onto this week's reveal, this was such a fun sketch that I knew that I had to do something a little bit more special and I am so happy with the results!!!

One of my cousins got married last year, this is the thank you card they sent me (you may remember I made them a scrapbook album

Here is this week's sketch:

And a couple of close ups: I did a lot of layering using flowers (prima), die-cuts (provo craft/cuttlebug), papers (my mind's eye - collectable), doilies (doodlebug design), enamel dots (my mind's eye), and inks (lindy's stamp gang)

used washi tape throughout the layout along with flowers and die-cuts (hearts), the glitter titles are Heidi Swapp:

For the background I used gesso then when that dried I made a mixture of texture paste and blue gelatos (to tint the texture paste) to go over my tim holtz hearts layering stencil to create a blue heart background:

I used doodlebug design faux stitching across my banners on the top and finished it with some more flowers and die-cut heart:

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. I hope you can play along this month with ScrapMuch? You have until the 29th to link up your project to: for your chance to win a fabulous prize :)

Good morning everyone!!! It is October 1st and you know what tht means, sketch reveal at Let's Scrap Sketches! Here is my take on this fun sketch:

This was s uch a fun sketch!!! I used papers from Craft Smith Rainbow Sorbet, I switched up the sketch by using flowers instead of stars, banners being the title, and used words/phrases instead of journalling. I am so happy with this layout and had so much fun with it!!! Here is October's 1st sketch:

Hope you can join in and play with this sketch for your chance to win a fabulous prize from Stampendous!!
