Calendar for in-laws

Last night we did our Christmas celebration with the in-laws as we are going to Vancouver Island to spend Christmas with my family and my husband's parents are going to LA. Hence why I am able to share some of the pages I created for their calendar already:

Journey: the first layout is one I created based on Stuck?! Sketches December 1st sketch:

Happy Halloween: inspired by The ScrapRoom December Jumpstart challenge

Today: inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 2

I can't believe I met spider-man: inspired by 123 December Challenge

Sisters Canvases

I have had a busy weekend making canvases for my mom and her three sisters. This past summer we had a family reunion and one afternoon while at my grandma's house all four sisters were together with their mom for the first time in who knows how many years. Someone thought it would be a great idea to take a picture together and the picture turned out so great that I was inspired to create a scrapbook on canvas for each of them.

I created this based on a cut file from Paper Issues:

This one is for my mom (as I know she loves peach):

This one is for another aunt, and is based on Canadian Scrapbooker December Sketchy challenge:

Next for another aunt is based on December 15th Stuck Skeches?!

My family is one I created for my grandma, it is a group picture we took at the family reunion this past summer. I used Let's Get Sketchy Week 2:

Caught!! Pixels and Paper December DT Reveal

I cannot believe it is December already, our tree is up and today I'm putting up my son's advent calendar!!!

This month is a wonderful Christmas inspiration: CRITERIA - Christmas and/or Pets and if you are extra clever  ... Christmas Pets

Here is my take:

I used the new Christmas line from Simple Stories, the photo is from last year which I took after the stocking were hung and I caught Santa (aka photo app) placing presents in the stocking!!!

Hope you can play along with Pixels and Paper this month:

Family Canvases

Over the summer, my dad, his sisters and parents were all together which rarely happens so they were able to have a photo together. Now usually when a picture is taken of the five of them together there is atleast one of them who is not looking at the camera but this one they are all looking at the camera and are all smiling!!! So I made the photo into a canvas for my grandma, aunts, and dad:

Family: this one is for my grandma and is inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 1:

Our Family: based on Sketches in Thyme #251

Family: for my dad, based on Stuck?! November 15

Thank you for stopping by and for you wonderful comments :)

As soon as I saw this picture, I knew that I needed to scrap them but then I came up with the idea that if i loved this picture so much that the people in the picture (my cousins - - who are sisters) would also like the picture so I scrapped the picture and made it into 12x12 canvases. I used DCWV's Razzle Dazzle stack:

This one I created for DCWV's November Stack-a-holic challenge:

The other canvas I used Sketchy Friends November Challenges:

GrandDiva's sketch challenge:

And Rochelle Spears This or That Challenge:

I used wood (flourish on right side of photo)

Imagine - November Pixels and Paper DT reveal

good morning, hope everyone is doing well!!! i am in the new place and am loving it!!! I still don't have a scrap space so that is on the agenda for this week.

Here is this month's inspiration:

here is my take, I was inspired by the chair (which looks super comfy) and the idea of relaxing, as well as the flowers on the wall:

and some close-ups

The cut file is from the silhouette store. I used a variety of flowers from different manufacturers including prima, recollections and the dollar store. To create the title, I painted a wood veneer in white and once it dried used gold smooch accent ink to trace over.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you can play along this month at Pixels and Paper. This month's twist is to have some gold in your layout. You have until the end of the month to link up your creation to:

Flowers & Butterflies baby album

A friend of mine had a baby a couple of weeks ago. When I asked her what she would like, her response brought me to tears. She said she loves everything I make and would love anything I made. She doesn't have a theme for the baby's room but loves purple for a girl so I decided to go with a butterfly and flower theme.
